Saint Clare Episcopal Church

St. Clare's is part of the Episcopal Diocese of San Joaquin, based in Fresno CA. The bishop is The Right Reverend David Rice.

Saint Clare of Assisi was one of the first followers of Saint Francis. The founder of The Order of Saint Clare embracing poverty; her feast day is August 11.

St Clare is a delightful, picturesque Church in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada and, besides its beautiful and spiritual interior, has one of only two pipe organs in the county. Traditional music is provided each Sunday by a professional Organist and a professional Cellist.

The church family is an example of what a small but devout community of Christians can be.
Services are held every Sunday at 10:00 and are followed by a gathering in the parish hall
for snacks and fellowship.

A Women’s group of members and friends meets Tuesdays for bridge, lunch, and fellowship.
Saint Clare welcomes everyone, including dogs.

Services are sometimes deferred because of snow. One should check the “News” section
during storms.
